Mission Statement
It is the goal of Tipp-Monroe Community Services, Inc. to identify by whatever means, the needs and desires of the community and then attempt to find the resources which can provide those needs. We will promote the health, culture, recreational, educational, and vocational welfare of our community.

Most of our regular readers know that being a Texan; I will never learn to appreciate Ohio Winters. When I talk to my brother in Austin, Texas and he tells me it is sunny and 65 degrees, I yearn even more for spring or a long vacation in the south. I love Tipp City and care about the people in my neighborhood, so I promise to mush the slush and stay through the winter. While you are thawing over hot cocoa, please look at some of the things to do this season. |

I tried to re-title this Community Connection to “Everything you need to know to beat the winter blues”. Kathy wouldn’t let me. There are many classes, workshops and programs to keep you and your family busy this winter and spring. For the young set, we have an American Doll Club and a Children’s Art Class called “Learn to see” taught by Leslie Trimbach, plus Pre-Tap for ages 4 & 5. Carli Amlin Dean is teaching her now famous “Fancy Nancy” reading and craft program. And hey, boys and girls do you like Lego’s? You’ll get a chance to build with Lego’s and get a kit to take home. By popular demand, we have brought back kickball for 5-12 years. |

We are particularly excited that Miami Soil and Water Conservation District is going to install a Rain Garden and you can help. The garden will be built in the township and this program is a hands-on, get dirty project that will be fun, educational and in the long run, beneficial to the environment. |

Still want to live green or greener, we got it! Want to learn computers, we got it? Want to find out if you are fit, we got it! How about couples massage? We got that too. |

Oh, I hope you will take the time to look through this brochure. Use our ideas and classes to learn something and enjoy the winter season. Spring will be here before you know it and then you can bicycle (join the TMCS bike riding club), play baseball (TCJB season opens May1) and have fun out doors. |
