Tipp-Monroe Community Services sponsors many events throughout the year for residents of Tipp City and Monroe Township to enjoy. These events include, but aren't limited to; Breakfast with Santa, the Community Garage Sale, Cloring Contest, the Halloween Parade, the Memorial Day Parade & Bike Brigade and the Run for the Mums 5k Race.

Appraisal Fair
| Trash or Treasure? Do you have an item that you aren’t certain of its value or even what it might be? One place to possibly get an answer is at the Appraisal Fair on Saturday, January 22, 1-4 PM in the band room at Tipp Central. Robert Honeyman, a well-known auctioneer in Miami County, will use his experience and knowledge to provide information on whatever items are brought in. Attendees may have two items appraised for a minimal fee of $5 (additional items will be charged separately). This event, sponsored by the Tippecanoe Historical Society, is open to the public. This Artisan Showcase & Fine Art Sale features painting, photography, sculpture, woodworking, weaving, jewelry and more. Breakfast & lunch will be made available by Ruth White and the “Sisters of the Skillet”. There will be door prizes, a raffle and of course the opportunity to find a perfect Valentine gift for someone special. This event will be hosted by Zion Lutheran Church at 14 W. Athletes of the Mind
| One is not born a genius, one becomes a genius" (Simone de Beauvoir).Have you exercised your brain lately? Tipp City Schools have many extracurricular activities for students of all ages geared to expand their learning in science, math and imagination. Join TMCS on Thurs., April 28 at LT Ball from 6-8 pm to meet representatives from several clubs and organizations such as Destination Imagination, Lego League, STEAM, Math Counts and many others. This open house is a great time to explore the possibilities with your children. You will get a chance to meet Dina trashasaurus and the Wizards of Wright will be on hand again to provide some interactive fun! (WOW is a volunteer organization of employees from Wright Paterson AFB made up of engineers, scientist, and mathematicians.) |
Community Wide Garage Sale
Are your closets exploding and your garage so full you can’t get your car in? The Community Wide Garage Sale is coming Saturday, May 7, 2011. Tipp Monroe Community Services sponsors this annual event. Cost to be listed on the map/flyer is $5.00. Remember the old adage – “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”. Memorial Day Parade
Come, children of all ages, and bring your patriotically decorated bikes, strollers, buggies or tricycles and join the Memorial Day Celebration Parade. The parade is held on Memorial Day and is a Tipp City tradition. This event is planned and organized by the American Legion. Following the parade will be a ceremony, remembering all our American heroes, held at Maple Hill Cemetery. This is a morning enjoyed by parade participants and on-lookers as well.

Tipp City Optimist Club Live Auction
Don’t forget the Annual Tipp Optimist Live Auction on February 22, 2011. This is the club’s only fundraiser and all proceeds are used to support local youth. The auction will be televised on KIT-TV.

Tipp Pride Day
April 16, Bring your old computers, and electronic items to the CVS parking lot on Main Street from 9 am – 2 pm. Goodwill Industries will take them for recycling. Also watch Cindy Bach of Miami County Sanitary Engineering demonstrate how to make a Rain Barrel.

| You Snooze, You Lose! Nothing cancels a good class quicker than waiting until the last minute to register. If there are not enough students one week prior, the program may be canceled. Registering on the last day of the class will not save a class. Please register as early as possible. |
