ANTIQUE AND ARTISIAN FAIR |
This is the fifth year for this fun event. Come shop for antiques and collectibles and see local artists in the historic shopping district of downtown Tipp City on June 28 from 9-5 PM. Event includes: a classic car show, pancake breakfast (8-11 noon), spaghetti dinner (4-7 pm), Farmer’s Market (9-1 pm), “Windows on Tippecanoe” Art Event, busy downtown shops and restaurants. BRICK PAVERS FOR SALE |
The Tippecanoe Educational Endowment is still selling
brick pavers at the High School. If you are interested
in buying a brick, forms are available at any of the

DESTINATION IMAGINATION |
This popular process-based program helps young people build lifelong skills in creative and critical thinking, teamwork, time management and problem solving. Five to seven participants work together as a team to create their unique solution to a Team Challenge, which can have a focus that is theatrical, structural, improvisational, scientific or technical – or a blend of several disciplines. Teams also learn and practice creative quick-thinking skills for the Instant Challenge portion of the program. The program runs October 2008 – April 2009 and is open to students in grades 1-12. EYEGLASS PROGRAM |
In June of 2004, the Tipp City Area Lions Club disbanded,
leaving the Eyeglass Program in the care of Tipp
Monroe Community Services. This program is designed
to assist individuals ( Tipp City and Monroe Township
residents ONLY), onetime during a 12 month period
with new glasses and eye examinations. This program
is solely supported by the Tipp Foundation, local
clubs and organizations. If you have any further

GOOD SAMARITAN
FUND |
| The Good Samaritan Fund is designed to help transits
once within a 12 month period with an one night stay
at a local hotel, one meal per family member and/or $20
in gasoline. When an individual needs assistance through
this program, they are sent to the Tipp City Police Department.
The Police Department will do the necessary paperwork
before issuing any vouchers. We also help Tipp City and
Monroe Township residents with gasoline, once within
a 12 month period, in the amount of $20. This
program is solely funded by the area churches, businesses,
Miami County Foundation, individuals, clubs and local
organizations. |

MEMORIAL DAY CELEBRATION PARADE |
Come, children of all ages, and bring your patriotically decorated bike and join the Memorial Day Celebration Parade. Monday, May 26, 2008. Further details will be sent home through school. |

TOWNSHIP RECYCLING |

Help reduce local landfills at the same time. Bring your recycling to the Monroe Township Garage, 655 Michaels Road in Tipp City, on the second Saturday of each month, from 9:00 a.m. – noon. Items accepted include plastics (SPI code 1&2), metal (aluminum and steel cans), glass (all colors), newspaper (placed in grocery bags), and clean, dry corrugated cardboard. MUSICAL INSTRUMENT LOAN PROGRAM |
The Band Instrument Programs provides musical instruments
to Tipp City/Monroe Township children who otherwise
would not be able to participate in the school band.
We also provide the necessary music book, cleaning
supplies and music stand that each child requires.
This program receives its funding from the Tipp Foundation,
individuals and the Tippecanoe Community Band. If you

TIPP MONROE SWIM TEAM |
Swimming is fun, keeps you in shape and is a sport that you can use the rest of your life. Our season is short. It starts on May 1st and ends in July. Our swimmers range in age from 4-18 years old. Signups for the 2008 season will be held in the basement of Zion Lutheran Church on Monday, April 14 and Thursday, April 17 from 7-9 PM. TIPP CITY YOUTH SOCCER |
TCYS and Challenger Sports will host the 7th annual soccer camp from July 21 – July 25, 2008. The soccer camp is for Tipp City Youth ages 6-14 interested in furthering their development of soccer skills and their understanding of the game. There will be two sessions. Ages 6-9 will come from 9-12 noon and ages 10-14 will be from 6-9 PM.
Online registration for the 2008 camp has begun and will follow in to the normal TCYS registration period in April and May, continuing through July 2008. Cost of the camp is $97 and each child will receive a t-shirt and soccer ball.
One of the most popular aspects of the camp is the Host Family Program. Each coach at the camp will stay with a local family in the Tipp City community for the duration of the week. We need volunteer families that will open their home to one of the visiting coaches. The host family will received a voucher during the week of camp. Your family will also enjoy learning about the United Kingdom, soccer and building lasting relationship with the Challenger staff

VETERANS MEMORIAL BRICK PAVERS FOR SALE |
Bricks will be for sale for the Veterans Memorial during May, June and July of 2008. 4”x 8” bricks are $53.25 with three lines of type, 20 characters per line. 8”x 8” bricks are $213 with 6 lines of type, 20 characters per line. WINDOWS ON TIPPECANOE |
This outdoor art display will showcase over 50 area artists. The paintings will be mounted to antique window frames and arranged on the exterior of the building on 20 W. Main St. to resemble the façade of a townhouse. The unveiling will be Saturday, June 14. At the end of the event, the art will be auctioned off at a gala with proceeds from the event to support the creation of a Tipp Monroe Arts Council.
