Tipp-Monroe Community Services offers many programs throughout the year for residents of Tipp City and Monroe Township to enjoy. These programs include; All American Youth activities suchs as Cheer America, Hip Hop Dance and Youth Self Defense, Men's 35+ Basketball, Men's Softball and Youth Recreational Basketball.
 
All American Youth Activities
All American Youth Activities provides children ages 5-15 with classes on a weekly basis throughout the year. These activities include; Cheer America, Hip Hop Dance and Youth Self Defense. Students are placed into classes according to age and ability. This program is a pay-as-you-go program, with our classes ranging from $4 - $7 per lesson. There is no obligatory contracts and if the child decides to stop attending, he/she loses no money. Make friends and have lots of fun while learning new skills. Improve coordination, physical fitness, flexibility, and the ability to work with others.

Bunco Club
A Bunco League has formed in Tipp City and more players are welcome. This league meets on the third Tuesday of each month for fun and food. Bunco is the “game that is sweeping the nation.” Don’t get left out—join the crowd. Hostess, Debbie Minnich, with food by Kanoe Café. Call Deb at 669-9303 on Thursday before the Tuesday League plays to sign up.

Mens 35+ Basketball
This league plays by high school rules and college time with certified referees. The season begins on Oct. 17, and games are played on Sunday afternoon and evenings at Broadway Elementary. The season is 10 weeks, and the cost per team is $350. Must have 6 teams to hold the program. Registration begins Sept. 21 at TMCS. Call for details at 667-8631.

Safety City

This structured program for children entering kindergarten will introduce them to basic safety rules and help prepare young ones for the challenges of traveling to and from school. Safety training will be demonstrated by members of Tipp City’s public safety departments. Sponsored by Community Minded Women in cooperation with TMCS, the Tipp City Board of Education, and the police, fire, and emergency medical services departments of the City of Tipp City.

Youth Recreational Basketball

PURPOSE:To give all boys and girls in grades 3rd-12th residing in Tipp City and Monroe Township an opportunity to learn and play basketball while having fun.
 
REGISTRATION:  Registration will be held at the Tipp Monroe Community Services office beginning on August 29th, 2011 and will run through October 28th, 2011, with 7th-12th grade registration ending on November 23rd. Office hours are Monday–Friday 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM. You may mail forms to TMCS, (P.O. Box 242, Tipp City, Ohio 45371) or drop off at TMCS (3 East Main Street). PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE FORMS AT ANY OF THE SCHOOL OFFICES. Beginning August29th. Download Registration Form.

FEES:
$45.00 for first child, additional $40.00 3rd and 12th grades

TEAM DRAFT:  All participants will be evaluated by the team coaches and then a draft will take place to form the teams.  All players need to attend Saturday evaluations.

The evaluations will be held at the Broadway Elementary School.

 

GENERAL RULES:

3rd & 4th Grade: At this grade level, the emphasis is on learning and practicing skills.
Practice starts in November with games starting in January and will run through March. Games will be held on Saturday at Broadway Elementary.  Once games began, practices will take place at the Broadway Multi-Purpose Room 30-45 minutes prior to the start of your scheduled game. This will allow the coach time to go over rules, plays and further explanation of the game.  Please remember 2 teams will be sharing the BRDW MPR.  The 3rd & 4th grade girl’s teams will travel.

 5th & 6th Grade:  At these grade levels, the emphasis will be on learning and following game rules. Practice starts in November with games beginning in January and running through March. Practices will be held during the week and games will be held on Sunday. Practices and games will be at Broadway Elementary.  The 5th & 6th grade girl’s teams will travel.

7th & 8th Grade:  At this grade level the emphasis will be on learning and following game rules. Games begin in January and will run through March. Practices will be held during the week and games will be held on Saturday. Practices and games will be at Broadway Elementary.

9th – 12th Grade:  At this grade level the emphasis will be on fun and following game rules.
Since this league is geared towards fun, the participants will have only two practices and then go straight into the season. Practice and games.
Fees provide shirts, Coaches NYSCA certification, medals, referees, and building supervisors.

Coaches will be required to be NYSCA certified
