Safety City is a structured program for kindergarten registrants that introduces them to basic safety rules. This program has been highly successful in preparing our young ones for the challenges of traveling to and from school. Activities are fun and full of learning. Safety training will be demonstrated by members of Tipp City's public safety departments.
Safety City is present as a public service by Community Minded Women in cooperation with Tipp-Monroe Community Services, Tipp City Board of Education, and the police, fire and emergency medical services departments of City of Tipp City.
Taught by an experienced, accredited elementary teacher.
Daily interaction with Tipp City Police including:
- Traffic rules practiced by driving "big Wheels" on a room sized mat painted with streets, intersections, etc.
- Fun, innovative exercises teach "rules of the road".
Presentation by Tipp City Fire Department including:
- Children invesitgate a fire engine
- Exercises for fire safety (Stop, Drop, and Roll)
Presentation by Tipp City Emergency Medicial Services:
- Children investigate an ambulance
Bus safety presentation including:
- Rules of behaviour for bus riders
- Safety rules for bus stops
- A 45 minute bus ride to acclimate the children to what they'll experience on their first day of school

City Online $15.00. - Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis - this activity is a popular one and classes usually fill to capacity. Registration will remain open while space is available.
