The Tipp City Area Arts Council is dedicated to the promotion, development and support of the visual, musical, physical and literary arts in Tipp City, Ohio and surrounding areas. Meetings are held every month on the 2nd Tuesday at 6:30 pm at the TMCS Building. Currently in a Membership Drive, the group will be sponsoring a Christmas Home Tour, Art Exhibits, Teen Photo Contest, Concerts and more in an effort to further develop the art experience for the people of our area. Everything is Art!
 
 

“The ARTStravaganza Event” is right around the corner.
Come join us from 5-8 p.m. for an evening of food, fun and entertainment in historic downtown Tipp City,
at Harrison’s, 106 E. Main Street, 667-5200.

This fundraising event is sponsored by Harrison’s with 10% of the food proceeds going to support the Tipp City Area Arts Council, an organization that supports and promotes local art.
If you call for your reservations of 6 or more and mention “The ARTStravaganza”, Harrison’s will make an additional donation to the TCAAC. However, reservations are not needed to attend this event.

During the evening there will be demonstrations by area artists, performers, artwork on display for sale, a raffle for 2 acrylic paintings donated by Parker Fritz and the Post Gallery, a special appetizer made especially for the event by Harrison’s chef and much, much more.

Please mark October 22, 2009 on your calendar, mention the ARTStravaganza if you call Harrison’s at (937) 667-5200 for reservations and tell all your friends to join in the fun at Harrison’s (no reservations required) to benefit the Tipp City Area Arts Council.
 
 

Short Story Contest Rules

Eligibility: The Short Story Contest is open to everyone (including home schooled and tutored children), regardless of experience or previous publication, except where prohibited. Employees and agents of the Tipp City Area Arts Council and their immediate families are ineligible and may not enter. Each entrant may submit one short story of no more than 10 ?? pages on any subject, and in any form, provided that the content of the story is not vulgar or offensive, does not employ profanity, and is the original, individual work of the entrant. All submissions become the property of the Tipp City Area Arts Council and will be considered for publication. Entrants retain copyright on his/her own individual work.  Submissions by multiple entrants may be mailed together in one package to save on postage.

Entrants must complete the entry form its entirety to qualify for the contest and may submit no more than one short story per contest.
Contest Dates: The Short Story Contest ends October 15th.  All entries must be submitted by midnight on October 15th. Any entries submitted after midnight October 15th will not be considered.
Selection: Short stories are judged based on originality, creativity,  and artistic quality.  Short stories not meeting the requirements for page limitation are automatically disqualified. Poems containing profanity, vulgarity or offensive material are automatically disqualified.
Prizes:  There will be one prize for each age group: Group 1, Grades 4-6; Group 2, Grades 7-8; Group 3, Grades 9-12; Group 4, Adults Age 18+. Prizes for each group are ??
Decisions: The panel of judges consists of members of the Tipp City Area Arts Council Review Committee.  All decisions made by the judges are final.
Fees: There are no entry fees for any of the contests.  No purchase necessary.   No financial obligation to enter or win the contests.
Copyrights: The author retains all copyrights to the submitted poem.  Winning poems will appear on this website with the copyright notice intact and may be considered for publication in a forth coming anthology.
Notification:  Winners will be announced November ??.  Winners are notified by ??.  Names of the winners and their respective poems may appear ??.
Privacy PolicyThe Tipp City Area Arts Council collects personal information for the purpose of notifying contest winners.  All information submitted is kept in confidence and used solely for notification purposes and shall not be made public by the Tipp City Area Arts Council.  The Tipp City Area Arts Council does not lease, lend, sell, or share personal information collected.  Minor children must have parental permission to enter the contest.
